Yevhen Svatowsky

Born in 1973 in Zoločiv, Lviv Oblast, Western Ukraine, Yevhen Svatovsky has been a prized vargan builder (scacciapensieri) since 2010, living and working in Italy since 2022. Experimenting with construction techniques of different traditions, he achieved his own personal and recognizable style in the construction of excellent concert instruments, which will be on display during the MWF 2024. In addition to the activity of constructor, Svatovsky experiences the sound of wind chimes in the center of an electroacoustic percussive set in which loops and samples create a dreamlike dimension between real-time compound sound environments.
