Workshop | Mysterious Instruments and Looper with Byon Kay

Adept at blending the jaw harp with mysterious instruments from around the world, along with beatboxing and looping, Byon Kay will guide participants in an experimental journey to discover new sounds in this workshop. The meeting includes a jam session where, through the looper, everyone’s sounds will be overlaid to create a composition. No prior knowledge is required.

Born in Japan in 1970, Byon Kay started playing the jaw harp in Australia in 2001 after encountering it during his travels. A pioneer in Marranzano techno, his mystical approach to sound, combined with his global travels, brings instruments together to create deep and closely intertwined harmonies.
