Maurizio Cuzzocrea

Born in 1972 to Calabrian parents, Maurizio Cuzzocrea has been one of the protagonists of the oral tradition music scene in his region for years. As a singer and musician, he has devoted his musical studies to the chitarra battente, a baroque instrument rooted in Calabrian oral culture, becoming one of its main interpreters and a reference point for many enthusiasts and musicians. In addition to his musical activities, he has always been actively involved in cultural and musical outreach, organizing events related to traditional music in Calabria and other regions.
