Founded in the distant year of 2005 from the idea and collaboration of two musicians, Davide Urso and Simona Di Gregorio, I Beddi is a musical group with the goal of introducing Sicilian culture worldwide. This culture is rich in ancient traditional music, history, and research, all aimed at exporting Sicilian singing in an ever-innovative manner. From its foundation to the present day, there have been many changes. The year 2009 marked a turning point for the band, bringing numerous awards and recognitions. In 2012, the group underwent a renewal and approached what is defined as “World Music.” In 2015, they encountered Alfio Antico, and in 2018, they graced significant stages, from Raizes to performances in Salento. Then came 2020, the year of the pandemic, where, due to the cancellation of world tours, they dedicated themselves to a significant recording project.
