A Turkish musician and sound technician, for over 5 years, he has been dedicated to perfecting a new musical instrument of his own invention: the Yaybahar. This purely acoustic instrument, capable of producing entirely unique and seemingly electronic sounds, is based on the natural oscillation of springs and membranes used as resonators for cello strings mounted on a neck with movable keys to achieve the infinite variety of intervals in Persian and Arabic scales. The Yaybahar, still in the development and experimentation phase, has the ability to evoke “other worlds” and complex, hypnotic atmospheres that cannot be effectively described in words. One must listen to believe.
