Makoviya

Singer and artisan artist hailing from Kiev, Olga Troyan – stage name Makoviya – grew up immersed in the musical traditions of Ukraine, absorbing its unique and captivating vocal style. This she has always coupled with an inexhaustible thirst for experimentation. After collaborating with various groups and projects, since 2011 she has been the singer and frontwoman of the band Drymba Da Zyga, which has gained national recognition in Ukraine for its distinctive reworking of traditional repertoires, revisited and filtered through ethno-rock sounds.
